Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

If inflation is 15% then why…….

……why don’t we get a 15% raise? Company handed over a 9% raise said you split it how ever you want if you don’t take it we will close Schenectady? Is that what’s going on? Last thread was getting good. Now it’s gone!! Well layoffs must be on the way next year once the 09 event happens again.

If how well the meetings went were an indication of if it will pass or not, sounds like alot of ticked off people are voting no. Not that it matters nationally anyway.

It will pass 70%-80% yes votes to many complainers with no guts. Enjoy it!

@ove+1mbB8GQv- yeah if gas rose 300% over the last 3 years idk what inflation your reading. If bread went up 30% idk who’s backside your sniffing. If chicken went up 60% Electric 50% car ins 30% natural gas up 50%. It is here to stay. That post says nothing! In reality if I got to the store with $100 in 2019 and almost fill a big cart of food for $100. In 2023 I got the store with the same $100 but barely fill a little cart of food. You tell me! Faimly pack of chicken went from $7 in 2019 now it’s $16 or so. Even fast food places are charging $10 for a value meal. Where is the value in that? When the same meal was $6 in 2019. But the wages stay the same. Is there inflation for the 401k?

I think we need to vote tomorrow on a mystery box, wait till it opens and really hope we get something nice. It's the right thing to do.
