We were notified at 5 pm today the agency people were being released. I have a bad feeling this is the beginning of the next round of terminations. No notice, who is going to do the work? Have any other department agency people been let go?

Just because there are "job postings" doesn't mean they are hiring. I've seen the same job postings for months now. Some "job postings" can go on for years.
They been flooding the net with salaried and agency job postings the last year. There letting people go, and hiring new people at the same time.
@qjn+1ogCdS13 That is surprising the agency in our area are doing all the work. They were brought in post 2019 when all of our technical specialists were cut. The LL5 then promoted her incompetent friends to technical specialist positions. When SHTF because the blue badges on her team couldn’t do the work the LL3 allowed the LL5 to bring in contractors to do all the work and “train” the blue badges. Here we are three years later with a whole department full of lazy incompetent blue badges. ITO BTW
Don't they need to keep the scab employees around to cross the picket line in a few weeks?

I’m shocked any agency are still around in the US. I thought they were let go several rounds ago. At least in my area they were.

I’m in PD. It appears next week is going to be a bloody mess for thousands. I saw an our Director in the office yesterday. He never comes in on a Tuesday and always works remotely. Meanwhile While I’m still employed id like to say #FJF the woke clown 🤡 CEO !!!
