Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Code of Conduct

listening to CF say we all have to act in an ethical, etc. manner - as he is offshoring a ton of US jobs to India - is absolutely nauseating.

I have no interest in listening to a guy who doesn’t understand that stealing a loaf of bread and funneling wealth to a handful of people and corporations (legally with the help of lobbyists and vapid BODs) are both wrong. Just because your millionaire buddies rubber stamp your actions doesn’t mean it’s right. An ethical person doesn’t take $30million a year to destroy a company. I walked away during the talking head spewing words portion of that training. Might as well have been Donald Duck telling me about the importance of pants.

If Wells doesn’t want US workers anymore, it also should not be allowed to have U.S. customers nor access to U.S. markets.

Employment in the USA should be MANDATORY for TBTF institutions, especially ones like Wells that have severe control failures and are under a ten foot stack of consent decrees.

Having valuable financial data and access to same floating around in India — the hub of global scams — is irresponsible.

And the USA should make room for American institutions who hire, retain, develop and promote Americans.

The bank needs customers. They may need to open branches in India at this rate. People don’t need banks if they don’t have money.

My team laid off 3 people all older and then hired 3 people in India.

Sending US jobs to India is a lack of integrity. There are plenty of other ways to be more efficient.

Trying to mislead your employees about RTO under the guise of “in person collaboration” while having upwards of 30% of your jobs sent to a country that 99.9% of us will NEVER “collaborate” with IN PERSON is a lack of integrity.

Good go on and on.

If the execs want to talk about ethics, maybe they should stop lying to their employees repeatedly.

"We always strive to retain as many employees as possible when a location is closed"

"We believe that in person collaboration is the key to company success"

"You've been displaced due to the location strategy, and no you can't relocate to an approved hub on your own dime"

"Employee safety is our #1 priority"

"We want you to bring your authentic self to the workplace"

"Location strategy, what's that? Never heard of it..."

And on and on it goes with lie after lie.

It’s totally unethical when you move your entire team to India when your team is in America and they actually created your company and made you profitable!

Let’s be fu--ing real here when CEO is getting paid 20,000% more!

When we do all the work, it’s incredulous!

C’mon!

we have our base in Bangalore and Hyderabad and generating cost efficiencies. This can be a core competency given sfo model is not sustainable…look at lowest minimum wage discussions in Bay Area —tech has made it a wrong place for banks to operate from !!’

I will do everything I can to undermine this company, and get paid handsomely for doing it.

What exactly will India win? Having to deal with simpleton execs here in the US? TK’s boomerang dance? Nope the only winners are the white old simpleton execs, who get their big bonuses as they run the company into the ground.

People who are not shocked at the lack of ethics in business are compliant. If we all just expect to be treated like garbage then we will be. Anyone who tries to limit anyone talking about how they’re seeing a lack of ethics is probably either benefiting from it or has no self esteem.

What does that have to do with ethics? It’s called business and CF’s responsibility is to the shareholders.
