So you are saying ford is SCAMMING new incoming grads?

This is horrible. How does a large company like this think it is a good business decision…? Ford is scamming? I cannot even think of a company at this size being involved in scamming. How bad are they doing economically for it to become a scammer?

Sorry to burst your bubble but years since I learned about what honeypots are would be in the double digits pal and the “cia” can check my history to back me up and say I didn’t search up honeypot before replying to you.

Thanks for being insecure

thanks for the explanation of what the cool kids and google are calling honeypots but I'm old school like the Cardinal and James O'Keefe when it comes to honeypotting

Honeypot could be anything from a company-orchestrated level to an individual honeypot like checking firewall on their infra to see attempted login logs for collecting IPs to add to their blacklist etc. honeypot could be a fake created email typically under a combo list of email user accounts you don’t use as a standard under your domain to find spammers to email so you can block their domain on your mail filtering system. It could be literally a person baiting to get certain reactions to prove a point. It could literally be anything. It’s not a gov attached term. It really just means a pot of honey which attract bees. It doesn’t even have to be cybersecurity related if u think about it. Honestly it sounds more like a strategy imo to get intel/insights/data. I get how it’s closely related to gov “stings” but I mean it’s just one small thing in a toolkit of a lot of really interesting ways to get research. I am not educated on the ethics of it though. But look up sock puppets for example. It’ll put you down an interesting rabbit hole of a read! Cheers, not the best at explaining but googling will lead you down a better path

Ask me anything!

I won't reply or answer but go ahead and ask.

You don't need to ask if I'm re--rded because that's already settled.

First you have to take responsibility for your part in this debacle.

Second most know the Ford College Graduate program has devolved into the
LLs just checking boxes on their Performance Review, anyone who joins Ford straight out of college needs to be aware that a large portion of the FCG positions are not at all desirable. Many are bait and switch. The odds are also high that your FCG advisor is just checking boxes on their PR. The mentally healthy and talented FCGs exit Ford rapidly.

Old timers who went thru a very different FCG program will try to discredit the FCGs who complain. A coworker did this until his grandson became an FCG and was royally hosed over. That grandson is now happily working at Subaru in Indiana.

Ford “leadership” caused this problem by rewarding the wrong behaviors and promoting the wrong people.

Sorry @OP, but I am pretty sure that responsibility in on you, not Ford. You joined because you wanted, like the rest of us did. You stayed, like the rest of us did.

I have lost much of my autonomy, no chances of improving my standing, or getting better projects. Ford went from an engaging job in a nice team, to an every day fight with my mew LL6, and then to a boring job by myself (the nice team is no more), with most people lacking interest in doing their jobs.

I could have left at any time, but I didn't. I searched for jobs, went for interviews, but for one reason or another, I stayed. Now it is harder to find a job. That's on me.

That’s sad, know a few mutuals in the FCG program if that’s what you’re referring to
