Thread regarding CDW layoffs

@pz Sitting in on his town halls is funny - you have a bunch of generic, forgettable VPs who all look alike and work for him and no one knows what they actually do.

@10t I agree that we CAN possibly sell all of these products & services but without a clear messaging to customers on details of what we're trying to do and how (also price transparency) I'm expecting another complete failure with any acquisition that is led by the same people who gave us sirius - the integration that wasn't

@t3 We can resellAI Infrastructure and associated services. We can sell data strategy and execution. We can build agents. We can secure AI workloads. We can turn on AI inside of other products and SaaS. We can sell assessments for all of the above, and we DO sell all of the above and can name accounts to prove it. But it’s a choice few because leaders have zero understanding of how to standardize our story in a way that bridges sales and services together, and everyone sells AI a different way, so those who do sell have trained themselves how to do it. The new acquisition will help a lot. But then, what happens when their integration fails and their people realize where they have landed and who they work for? All that money down the drain.

All those billions spent on Nvidia, Intel, AMD, ARM, and Broadcom chips....all direct.

Now I see tons of CDW AM's posting about getting their Nvidia sales certs. What a joke for CDW. Now an AM is supposedly expert enough to "advise" customers about their Ai journey lol

I wonder if we even get any dollars going into these DC's being built. Like cables, cooling, or power. I'm guessing no since our earnings are stagnant while all those other companies are doing so well.

Even Dell with their Ai servers....we are their top partner and I bet we don't touch that business feom our end as I don't see CDW's name being involved with any of those posts online.

I can very confidently state that companies aren’t going to VARs for AI solutions

CDW has no industry recognition or credentials with "AI" only some very overstated marketing releases saying how wonderful and experienced we are but who specifically has the technology background and actual experience? certainly not any of the rando SVP/VP leaders that we pulled in off the street and claimed they were our strategic leadership and what employees will do the real work for the customers, how many do we have and where did they get all of this expertise? AI is a bucket of vendor tools, technologies, philosophies, and there isn't one single AI "thingy" that we can resell - unless it's bumbling copilot and for $10 more we'll throw in Harold - so what exactly are we selling?

@n6 Simon from Mission is in charge of ai at CDW. At least we know it will think highly of itself.

They had also designated him as being in charge of AI strategy. This means back to square 1 on that.

@gj Echoing much of the sentiment on this thread, I found Sanjay to be a good leader and very professional. I know this next company will get a great person in him.

Sanjay going to a way smaller company with likely less pay to get away from this sh-t show screams volumes

@dj I don’t know anything about Hang, but I’ve not been impressed with Mukesh at all so far. I hope I’m wrong.

He started his new position on Monday so he clearly had a new job in place before resigning.

Probably saw what a s**tshow it’s become and wanted out.

I heard his decision and he already has another job lined up. As a CIO, I am sure that takes time to do. So, I believe he decided to leave.

@ag I didn’t see the announcement. Was it really his decision or did the clowns at the top force him out?

Sanjay left about a week ago. They announced his decision to leave about 3 weeks ago. He was terrific. Loss for CDW.
