Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

They're going to do what they want...................

SF leadership is going to do what they want regardless of input from their employees. If you believe that, keep reading. If you don't, ignore this post.

The key to being successful at SF is not necessarily agreeing with what they do rather it is more important to stay healthy mentally and physically. Anyone who works in operations should know the job is not a healthy one. The mental challenges affect your health. I have buried many team managers, section managers, claim managers, claim specialists, agents, and associates who lived, ate and breathed State Farm.

The key to winning the race is simple. Live your life for what you enjoy and within your means. No, it is not important to have the boat, eat at luxurious restaurants, take expensive vacations, and own as someone put it 3000.00 purses.

Don't let the crowd and their opinions suck you in. Don't be a keep up with the Jones crew. If you are different to them and don't "fit in", who cares? Value lies in being unique. If everyone had 20,000,000.00 a year, what would 20,000,000.00 be worth? If they don't like you, it's because they don't understand you and they live in "their fit in" world. Follow your heart.

It is entirely possible to retire at 55! Yes it is! It's all about the choices you make now that will affect your end result. It did for me. I retired early and I don't regret it at all. No, I didn't inherit it. I worked for it, all of my college education, my last year tuition at a private high school and my books and transportation all four years.

In short, the government nor SF owes you anything. You work for it and what you do with it defines you. Let them do with theirs what they want. If you work and it's not good enough for "them" remember you came to SF looking for a job and you can leave there looking for a job. You define yourself.

@nxe You have all that money and yet you waste your time trolling a website. I feel sorry for you. You're proof that money can't buy happiness if what you say is true.

Social elitism is what insurance stands for and sells itself out for

@mzp I prefer the simple life. Give me my g-n, my ammo, venison fillets, my truck, the timber, and fresh air without all that phony make up, image, and freeloaders any day. Never have been and never will fit into that nonsense. BO-M! I'll live longer.

Fantastic. Simple, ol' fashioned stuff you have there. Now if you'll excuse me my architect Is calling. We are finalizing designs on the indoor pool/sauna/spa in the new wing of our lake mansion. Oh, the parties I will host.....
