Heard large layoff coming including top 'leadership', anyone got any confirmation?

There's no point to ask this question. Reality is there are layoffs going on at BD every week in various depts. You just don't hear about them unless they are bigger size. So the answer will always be "yes" to this question - this has been going on in the past couple years, non stop.
@vv anymore info?
Layoffs in DS US today
Our ‘leadership’ knows the best way to waste resources. Recently they sent some folks to a technical conference , and guess what, some of these people didn’t even login to system for once in last 5 years. One of them, used that conference as employer paid vacation.
It was announcing a sales org change and backfills of open roles. Imagine setting up an all hands ‘org update’ call for something that could have been an email. And somehow not expecting people to freak out. Smh.
@ky What was the org update?
@mz they started with Sr Directors and VP back in January. BD has a quota to hit for “open seats” across every function and department.
I volunteer as tribute!
Please pay me to leave being these people that throw a fit when they don't get what they want, when they can't follow simple instructions and complain about the outcome, or try to off load their mistakes on other people who have don't nothing but try to help them.

Will this be affecting any of the SD buildings. Heard they were tying to get rid of one of the buildings here.
If CXOs are not kicked out, BD will prove they don’t care about performance.
It is truly sad what this company has become. They used to be a great place to work. Believed in their employees and promoting within and training. Had tuition reimbursement for undergrads. Business leaders were available. In sparks they even used to have weekly concerts and parties on the patio at 7 loveton for the employees during the summer..
not anymore. The whole place has become infested with business school grads and due to the corporate locations vicisinty and surrounding businesses, Wall Street. Looks at al the companies in the paramus area. Tons of old companies and wall street babies.. mondelez, canon, IBM, Striker, etc, etc.
@q7 Don't tease us..what's happening???
Hold on to your a--holes kids. Sh-t is about to get ugly.
So the rumour in the op is correct?
BD doesn’t need massive layoff, it needs to remove useless and corrupt executives. Then get some leaders from outside who have successfully demonstrated their capabilities.
MMS US region just got an all region meeting put on for an ‘Org Update’ tomorrow morning
Can you elaborate on how large? Dozens, hundreds? I know one-offs have been happening lately, but I don’t know the extent.
I hope so, a parachute would be nice, but no WARN notices lately.
Any confirmation on layoffs - when, what BUs?
Honestly, it needs to happen as we are so bloated with completely useless managers, directors and VP’s. Title inflation got out of hand in the last several years - primarily as a quick and easy way to promote more diversity upwards. In many cases there are VP’s reporting to VP’s reporting to even more VP’s... However, the problem won’t be corrected until every single C suite position is replaced as they are the ones responsible for this mess. There isn’t a single one of them that is competent. So, if that is somehow in the works, that would be fantastic news.
They might only take that step as a last-ditch effort to boost the stock price. Honestly, I regret investing in this company without doing proper research. Do you guys even have an effective board of directors?
This company will be text-book example in MBA classes on how not to run a business.
I'm not top leadership but I hope they PICK ME! I've too many years invested at this point to walk away wo a severance and my unemployment benefits.
I'll volunteer
