Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

L3Harris contract end date with Accenture

Since a decision was made by L3Harris in March to cancel the contract with Accenture, does anyone know the end date for us all before Infosys takes over? Based on previous posts from others, it looks like it could happen next month or maybe in June before the one year mark. From what I've heard, those over project Monarch on the Accenture side have heard the rumblings about this but they won't address it. They've gone radio silent for months. This is probably intentional because they don't want to admit the truth of what has been leaked. I'm sure that one day in the near future we will all get an invite with HR to be told that we are going to be laid off. The good thing is that many know this is going to happen so it really won't come to any surprise when that day comes. Kubasik's and Kim's pathetic dream and vision of IT reinvention really turned into IT destruction and devastation. Once we are all tossed out, I'm sure Infosys will have no problems providing support for the users on day one!

@mw0

additionally, projects have budgets, they don't hire $$$ resources when they only have the budget for an L10, it is listed right there in mysched, cr-ppy situation to knowingly put people in and yes, those people for sure know the outcome, they don't care

The ex LHX I.T. employees, who now work for Accenture, and work for LHX via an Accenture contract are going to be ex LHX Accenture contract employees on 12/15/2025. They will all be going to the Accenture “Bench” to try and find work at Christmas. It is up to the individual to find a contract otherwise they will be laid off. This will be difficult since they have only been with Accenture a little over a year and have no networking contacts at Accenture. I also suspect the bench time will be short since Accenture has to pay everyone while on the bench.

Of the 450+ LHX employees that went to Accenture, LHX has been asking Accenture to reduce staffing on the contract almost since day 1. There are now less than 300 ex LHX people working on the Accenture LHX contract. The name of this contract is “Monarch.” I suspect because the ex LHX I.T. employees would be butterfly’s leaving the cocoon and spreading their wings, of course, only to get hit by the speeding LHX windshield.

@dwa Do you think L3 really cares or cares about you? Aren't you worried that you may get rolled off someday in the near future or even laid off? It's sad how some of you think it's going to last 7 years. It won't. Everyone knows that there are always loopholes to get out of things but hey, go ahead and stick around if you think it's going to last that long. I would say most of us are not going to stick around for that long, much less than a few years. Accenture also doesn't care about you. You are replaceable. That's their mentality. You are just a pawn.

I’m one of those who were sold off by Kim to Accenture. Accenture (former L3H IT) supports L3Harris business units; Infosys supports the Aerojet Rocketdyne business. It’s that simple.

If L3H drops Accenture (which they’re contracted for 7 years for), L3H would lose operational and institutional knowledge from 500 IT professionals who know the ins and outs of the business. So, it’s not gonna happen.

what was the meeting? Turn out to be some schmooz fest and the leadership people talking how awesome they are and the menial metrics we are hitting? This place used to be an interesting place to work, now I just sit here all day waiting for email responses or a dismissal notice and then get yelled at because I am not nagging my peers, sorry that is your job management/leads. Would be closure to get whacked at this point.

@828 not sure all of the “we” involved. My group is isolated from the other teams rolled off by L3Harris and we have a meeting tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the one-year anniversary if the rumors regarding the contract are true.

@826 When you say 'we,' does that include everyone who transitioned to Accenture?"

We just got a mandatory meeting dropped on us for tomorrow. Benched? Fired? Sold again? No one is talking.

Infosys has back offices in China.

China or India?

Without the promised savings it is LHX next up. Infosys has back offices in China. Risky for any defense contractor to give up so much control over IT but it will be cheaper.

This sh-ts about to hit the fan! Hope people are out there looking for something right now. Damage has been done and there's no turning back. We all need to move forward and do what is best for ourselves and then do unto L3H like they did to us.

If this is true will Infosys pick up those that are working as contractors for L3H so there is no work stoppage? Will they transition those that do all the work over to infosys?

one thing is for sure, if there is someone from Accenture "leadership" on a call, they will be sure to tell you for the 15th time how much they know and do

This whole thing has already gone to he-l. Why should anyone be surprised when they get canned this summer. Some think everything is going to be just fine and that they will still have a job here 6 years from now by believing L3H's and Accenture's lies. Good luck to those that are going to take that chance. L3H could care less if they get rid of all of us. People need to wake up.

"All of you posting and reading here should know by now that you can't trust anything coming from L3 Harris management."

The scope is much larger than that, it is an everyone for themselves world now, I don't trust anyone and nobody else should either, do what I am asked and that is it.

OP: What’s your source for the supposed decision in March to cut the contract and award it to Infosys? It’s a ridiculous idea. IT would come crashing down if they suddenly sent everyone to the bench. Even Kim wouldn’t do that. *Oh wait, nevermind, she would do it if it saved money (which it would). But I call BS because it doesn’t make any operational sense to cut all the people who keep the lights on.

All of you posting and reading here should know by now that you can't trust anything coming from L3 Harris management. They have been consistently dishonest, uncaring, and feel they are not obligated to tell their employees anything. The best thing anyone can do who still works for this ridiculous company is to make your plans to leave and keep them private. Go on interviews, submit your resume, and do so as discreetly as is humanly possible. And, when you receive an offer for employment elsewhere, tell L3 Harris nothing. Clean out your desk as discreetly as possible make no mention of leaving and simply don't come back. They would not treat you any differently. Don't leave the company thinking you're going to show something to someone. Leave the company to benefit yourself and no one else.

I'm not surprised by any of this. I guess we will find out the day it happens like we did last May. I don't believe mgmt when they tell us the contract is not ending. When questioned earlier this year about getting rolled off before the one year mark, we were told no need to worry and that no one is getting rolled off, yet it happened & will happen again. It is kind of obvious they are clueless on what's going on as well. The ones that do know, like Dipit & Tarun, are hiding from us to avoid this type of question. That's no surprise considering they've been with Accenture for a while and most know Accenture treats their employees like $hit. I definitely wouldn't trust Accenture & L3Harris so I won't be surprised when we're disposed of.

(former l3harris, now accenture on the Monarch project). I don't believe they're cancelling the contract, I've heard that it's not possible. It's just a rumor floating around.

It’s 100% confirmed this contract is being cancelled? How and when exactly? I thought we were contracted for 10 years and with no exit clause? It is sad though that every VP on that contract left within 3 months of it being official…Rob, Greg, Joe, and now Aaron(not sure if he was a part of those talks but still).

This is the new face of corporate layoffs. Spin off your employees to a vendor, and then cancel your contracts with the vendor. No wonder employee engagement is in the sh----r.

the self back patting of Kubert

Kubert! Love it. Is that like that Star Trek TOS episode where the intergalactic hippies chant "HERBERT! HERBERT!"

OP, I haven't seen any announcement on the L3Harris side of the fence. Only thing I see is the self back patting of Kubert of "Our IT Revolution" announcement back in May of last year. Obviously, bean counters going bean count, but outsourcing IT is always a smooth brain move.

I wish everyone the best, except for the executives. They're the ones hoarding all the good stuff. (F those guys)
