Thread regarding Resideo Technologies layoffs

No (good) new products in the future

Try getting a new product developed in the next 18 months. Most of Product Management were fired last week

In light of this, can anybody please tell me what is our new business strategy? I'd really like to know what plans the ELT has that justify something like this.

If someone can claim landing in the South Pole of the moon by showing literally -a cartoon of that landing, can’t we sell a security system with a color screen and some anymation?

We also have too many “fellows” for what we do and actually produce. Most are of obsolete skills or have used their position to obsessively remain “in control” , sabotage and continue their overpaid endeavors…
Time to cancel those dinosaurs milking resideo for all it’s got

Resideo suffers from a “deep rot” so entrenched it will be hard to fix. Cosmetic lipstick is in order

Well it pays to be “shady” in resideo… the graveyard of id--ts that were naive enough to try to change the company to be more honest…

Services & Bus Dev teams are bulletproof. PT’s pet project and he has too much invested there. Its the only team not getting cut

Resideo is not a disaster… look at all the way we employees can get money and fake promotions -that can be used later. Just learn the tricks and take example of software and services. Easy to partake in the pie of money.
Don’t be naive….

You can’t market what you don’t have… only Nike was able to sell air…. We don’t even have air…

If you remember Ademco you should retire? What a stupid comment! Some employee that stated with Ademxo before it turned into Honeywell are in their early 50’s and still making positive changes. That’s way they are still employees!

How many new leaders will come in and say we need better services, will “fix alarmnet” to beat ADC, and then do nothing. 6 years of same promise and zero improvement

We are doomed if we need to depend on the services play. We have a better chance of Krafty the clown coming back to save the Org.

@1hit+1nZLRtDT

100% true. Getting a project agreed or signed of would take around 6 months and layers of meetings. Its not my issue now but you'd better pray the services and solutions group political games lead to something as hardware is finished.

The product managers haven't had autonomy for years. If they had any control over their road maps and portfolios, we might be in a better place.

Resideo doesn’t work with 18 months more like 36… remember storm?

Feel free to list all those product victories over the past few years…

I confirm most of the typical products managers are still there… business as usual… which doesn’t bode well for the future…
Crazy software org in Austin and execs focusing on BS… we can win rigth?

Unfortunately its the lifers who have the application knowledge

Agile is a framework to harness the experience. Bad leadership over a sustained period has failed to address this

@mvv+1nZLRtDT,
you might be in a different company, or different world !!!

The real problem is that Resideo has never been able to design a good product, and continue to optimize revenue from old days, but without this, Resideo would not exist at all !!!

Sadly they didn’t fire everyone. Get rid of the lifers and bring in agile forward thinking people who don’t constantly talk about the old ways in the old days. If you can remember Ademco you should retire
