Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

Speaking of Expenses

After the town hall last week in Charlotte, I walked outside and saw 6 different black SUV from a limo service...5 were Chevy/GMC...one was a Cadillac(I'll let you decide who had that one)...it's amazing the display of wasteful spending money on executive travel(this is just one small instance), while simultaneously preaching about reducing expenses.

@2jv All of you should band together and sue because if they are now classifying you and everyone else as a contractor instead of an employee of Accenture even though you were doing the same or similar duties as when you all with TIAA, you may have a good case. Contractor misclassification. It's one of the next lawsuits TIAA will face. Just watch.

Same, our department got outsourced to Accenture. I was a contractor so Accenture has no obligation to hire me at the same place pay. They offered me less than my current pay and nothing TIAA could do. I had to go on to office to do knowledge sharing session and I saw limo, Cadillacs etc parked and executives having catered breakfast everything I went to the main building done building in Charlotte. I met with one of them at a meeting and they were all staying at Omni, Hyatt etc. the shameless hippocracy is amazing.

@11q great for you but hard for most in Denver to forget about and forgo the severance. Especially anyone set to make 6-12 months worth of pay and continued health benefits for that duration as well. Though it definitely depends on ones end date and other factors not just tenure.

I left and got a new job and am very very happy being in a for profit company. When T announced they were going to be profitable and Colbert said Accenture=investments in the future and we were all considered expenses, I knew this meant Me=pain. I don’t like pain, I knew it was no longer a place to build a career. Get out, the grass is greener, if you’re in Denver (like me) forget the severance. Look now and leave!!! You’ll better off, and can get down to the business of competing with them faster.

Can confirm. I asked for double sprinkles, and as far as I’m concerned, that’s a pay raise and a half!

You guys are so ungrateful! We get puzzles, coloring sheets, and an ice cream social with Ajit - that includes sprinkles and toppings!

That’s a pay raise in and of itself!

The best when you ❄️❄️❄️ with the ec after the town hall making fun of all the peasants and scaring them that they have to go back to office 5 days a week. If it was up to us we would have them in office 7 days a week. Get back to work loser.

@jm The move from Denver to Frisco will end up costing more money than it was originally planned to save. The cost cutting measures moving to Frisco have backfired big time.

A disgrace, to waste corporate funds and expect to be treated like royalty. There is no place for ego in management, you should go!!

What an extreme waste of money and resources. Definitely one of the many reasons why many of us haven’t receive a raise since RF was here. Heck I had one of my best pay increases when HA(rip) was at the helm.

Why is such security and entourage needed for one person. It’s not like potus needing secret service and bulletproof cars.
