This is one of the very few good things Schwab does - they will match charitable contributions up to $1000/yr (at least at my grade - 59; your match may vary). I know it's hard to imagine making contributions when we might be unemployed next week but this is a chance to force Schwab into actually putting its money towards something good...

@muk+1p4ty3fH Others may be able to chime in on this but I believe dedicated team/contacts for service, financial planning assistance, 20% discount on trades (not sure what is out there that trades with a cost).
You have no choice who your financial advisor is, that's what being coded to EB means.
What does EB encoded accounts provide for you, in the form of benefits?
If you plan to keep your money at Schwab and are impacted in layoffs, you have until the end of the 60 day notification period to open any accounts that you’d like to be coded EB and receive any benefits of the Employee Branch.
After that, any accounts opened will be retail.
Thanks OP! I did it a few weeks ago to my kid’s school. So check your kids schools, they might be listed in the schwab website. Putting money towards something good overall and for the sake if your kids education as well. Two birds one stone
