Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Quick question

Does anyone know if there will be layoffs soon? I’m thinking about whether to go or wait to be laid off and pick up my severance. It’s not worth waiting if there won’t be any cuts going soon.

I was told no more severance pkgs with the exception of “E” band and above. They let way to many talented adjusters and manager go. The company is destroyed and those of us left keep taking on more and more. No relief or encouragement from leaders - they spend too much time following the directions given to them. Micromanage and write people up for ridiculous reasons.

@mqw+1dFhBVBv You are spot on.. Folks in claims, it's over.. Get ahead of it now if you are smart.. Allstate is lightyears ahead of the industry.. Whether they make it is another story, but my point is, you may be able to squeak out a few years longer somewhere else. Do it now before the market is saturated.. Big news in a few weeks..

Don’t hold your breath for severance, make your move outta here and be happier for it!

Don’t count on no layoffs in claims for 2022. As soon as they can offshore your job they will. And as the artificial intelligence software programs get more advanced as they are each day, you will be let go. They are not interested in human development. Only data development and making it cheap. Sorry but that’s Allstate’s business model. Transformative growth

No layoffs in claims . There trying desperately to replenish the adjuster positions after massive layoffs led to a backlog of inspections in auto .

Spring/summer 2022 will likely have massive layoffs. That is the target time to get the India portion of "Transformative Growth" back on track post pandemic. The 2022 cuts will most likely top 2020. But if you read between the lines I wouldn't expect the level of severance as was offered in the past.

What makes you think there will be a severance? Die has been cast this year… not everyone was offered it for 10/31 term date. I think the severance ship as we have known it has sailed

Layoffs are done for this year, but you can bet there will be more in 2022. The past two years they've started in around end of Q2 through end of Q3, which gets everyone out the door by year end, meaning their salaries won't be included in the next year's budget. That's how it works.
