Yes, Belk su-ks. But please, show me a retailer that is treating its employees better. You can't. Even those that are recording much, much better results than us are treating their employees like cr-p. The only way to escape this he-l is to leave retail altogether. Or accept it for what it is and learn to live with it.

Target was a good place until I had to leave because I had a baby. They paid $17 in the Jacksonville Florida area.
@ejc+. Sorry to tell you but sycamore partners just bought chicos. Things are going to start changing for you.They will run it into the ground just like they did belk. Belk used to be a good company to work for as well.
@mle Change is good. Change for the better is good. Change to make this a quality and pleasing place to work is best. However, the same people on top management who refuse to change at this retail nice m, elegant, beautiful and once a successful department store for 130 years legacy is now learning that intelligent does not require an expensive college degrees, but a lot of daily business hard work a lot of common senses! Those people who never study history of the past certainly miss a bright future at this retail elegant department store? Sinking in quick deep sand is what these folks are doing the clueless everyday! As someone said The buck stops here. This top person at this retail store will say give me the bucks and let the workers below suffering everyday! Please try it for a change!

Think before you write please! Stealing is not stealing until you are get caught? Belk company and useless RVPs and Belk stores managers have chosen to lie, cheat, manipulate, greedy, no respect, no empathy and no compassion or high quality leadership? It is the main reason for Belk sinking and failing like the Titanic? Take a hard look at all bankruptcies and all closing bad retail companies, they all fail because as long as they make money them no body care about the workers below! You get my point? It is not painful to be blind and working for Belk. It is painful not to endure Belk smart highly intelligent and clueless executive and their stupidity blindness!

I work at Chico’s, a ladies apparel store and it was wonderful, completely different from Belk.
