Stereotypes don't form out of thin air. It reflects the character of a people.

As stereotype goes, the Chinese steal, the Indians scam and the Whites slack.

As the Chinese pull themselves ahead of the innovation race, their "stealing" stereotype is fading away but you still see reports of Chinese engineers downloading Google/Apple's trade secrets on their computer. Why? There is still a market for cutting edge trade secrets in China.

As more and more Whites are forced by study STEM harder at school and work harder at work, under pressure from both the job market and their Asian peers, the newer generation of Whites are shedding their "slacking" stereotype.

Yet it's much harder for Indians to shed their "scam" stereotype, as long as India the home country stays the way it is, as long as there are opportunities around the world to exploit.

Indians attracts more attention at Fidelity is at its owning bidding. There are zero trade secrets at Fidelity to steal, they closed the Dalian office to prevent data stealing, so the Chinese is not a problem. The sticking thing is those teams after teams and orgs after orgs of 100% Indian origin teams. In a job market as bad as it is we're in, it's hard to look other way as before.

You're talking to a d-mb brick wall while making arguments that makes sense.

I am in independent contractor on a platform fidelity uses and every time things go wrong they keep blaming us.

While their own infrastructure is built on 1800s technology.
They tend to protect their own while blaming the "so called outsider vendor" to fix things.

Every time you blame an outsider for your own problems, and your inability to deal with incompetent leadership, you're digging a hole for yourself.

Work hard?
Most of the visa workers in my space aren’t particularly bright or hard working.
They roll in to the office well after 9am, leave around 3, have zero initiative, don’t ask questions, walk around in packs.
Not doing anything exceptional. Could certainly find Americans to do their jobs.

Indians are great people. Bring more. They strengthen the US, not weaken it.

@a5, economic warfare indeed. You'll hear the argument that "we paid this much taxes, we contributed this much to economy" but jobs are a zero-sum game, the jobs/taxes/economic contributions should've go to and made by citizens.
