It’s your own fault for not watching your portfolio. I sold mine at $185, can’t wait to buy it back at 90. Rinse and repeat.

Vent your anger at Ruination Roman and the other miscreants who created this mess, versus attacking an innocent person. Your mama did not raise you right.

Worried retiree, a few of us lucked out and move SOME of our shares when we retired but still an ugly loss from a company that I can hardly recognize these days. Down probably more than you but also perhaps had more to start with. So much for being loyal employees and shareholders.
Several have commented on how the GE culture found a home in this company and persists to this day. This isn't the 3M of the 1980s or even 1990s. 3M shares may crater more, further resembling the demise of GE shares too.
The stories I've been hearing of the aloofness of the leaders cutting people lately is also a sickening event.
Hang on as long as you can. You may need to work till 62 or older to make up for what you've lost so far, especially if 3M ends the pension contributions as has been rumored and forces everyone into 401k match only (troubled companies often suspend the matching during bad times, so don't even count of the match staying in place)
3M has become a Shakespeare tragedy.
