Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

How do these even get to management?

Fido is plagued by managers who often act emotionally whenever s*t hits the fan.

They have zero emotional intelligence to handle a situation and resort to yelling, bashing their own associates when they themselves aren't sure about their product area.

And what's worse? They will use instance when s*t hit the fan to demean individual associates during 1-1 saying "how they should have been SME of XYZ when other team members are OOO"

They basically want an associate started a month ago to be on same level as someone who's been at Fidelity longer than I was alive.

What a sad joke, can I put these on pulse survey?

I'd have ignored if this was only case with me, but I have seen this snake of a manager do same behavior with other peers as well.

Sad to say, but as a woman… I agree. The newly promoted managers that are women and/or dei (not referring to race at all) are difficult.

Enter it all in the Pulse survey as it’s anonymous. Any other survey is not anonymous and rife with retribution. If you’re a white male, look to work elsewhere before you have too much time invested.

They have stuffed the upper level with DEI and white women.

Fidelity has the worst management ranks I've ever seen.

Reduce number of L8/L9 roles, put them all up for the able to apply or reapply. The relics would be filtered out.

Grade 8 and 9 are where fidelity goes to die. Their skills are relics and frankly, you’d get better results training pigeons.
