Thread regarding Pratt and Whitney layoffs

D DAY

So what is your guess for when the axe is going to fall ? Tomorrow last Friday of the quarter ? Wednesday the last day of the quarter and pay day? Or some time in early October like many are saying ?

This lack of transparency & inability to make decisions only reveals that the execs are not the smartest guys in the room.

Layoffs coming Oct 15 to Nov 15. 10 percent in Engineering and 15 percent in the rest of the company as Engineering has cut 1000 contractors already. The VP's are struggling with who will remain and what groups will be combined. Expect 10 furlough days next year and small or no raises. Buy RTX stock as that is Greg's priority and it has a nice dividend he must keep.

Before October 1st as they won’t want to pay us for the vacation days that we earn.

I feel like we ard going to havd one if those Hallmark Holiday themed years this year. Told the family it will be a meal and gathering only so enjoy the company, smiles and blessings because that is going to be enough this year. What has been going on has been overwhelming for all and with the other factors you would think that higher management would have been more efficient in their decision making strategy . However that is not going to be the case we are going to have layoffs around the holidays to boot. One thing they cannot take away from us is our strength, family, courage or FAITH. Money can't purchase that!

PWC management said it would be within 30-60 days, which is super vague.

Flow down must be nice. Not one word in west palm. Not even acknowledge that there is a layoff.

Waiting until right before the holidays to do mass layoffs is about as cruel as you can get.

It can’t happen in one day. They will do by department. Impossible to let go off everyone on a same day!
