Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Arista - 13 top level posts on TheLayoff since 2016

Compare and contrast to the number of posts for Cisco in any given week. Also look at how many Cisco posts are the same because no one can read the previous hundred posts on the same topic. This reflects badly on the worker bees as well as leadership.

Worked for Cisco 18 years and Arista for 4 before retiring. IMHO Arista has a much higher quantity product and the support delivered is far superior. As to Arista being tiny, 4 billion in sales per year and growing quickly is no longer a rounding error in relation to Cisco’s sales. I don’t have a dog in this fight. Just stating the facts as I see them.

Arista came from Cisco, so did Juniper. Hmmm, maybe only dummies are left at Cisco from the ELT all the way to worker bees.

Arista wins cause they give the customer what they want, a VXLAN simple fast DC and great management interface. DNAC and Merakization of DC is our death nail for the core business, cant sell software to manage no hardware.

Arista is tired of being tiny and is coming after Cisco’s campus install base. They are winning in DC already. This layoff will only help them.

Maybe that's because they haven't had layoffs yet? Just saying.
