We’ve all heard the chairman’s anecdote about being thanked for firing someone. We all thought it was a load of bs. Nobody actually believed him, but maybe it was true!
I got SPOSA’d and couldn’t be happier. I’m in renewables making good money, got out of Houston and into a place that is worth living. I’m finally free of the toxic work environment that the company fosters.
I actually thought I would retire there. I was miserable, but was so committed to the company that I’d do almost anything it asked of me. Thank god they let me out of that prison.
To all my oppressed former colleagues who still suffer the daily humiliation of working for a company that can’t wait to kick you to the curb,
GET OUT!!!
Now back to the D-Woods anecdote. It’s probably true. He probably took credit for that employee’s work and then fired them to cover it up. The former employee probably moved on to a much better employer and are thankful for the day they met D-Woods, because without him they’d still be suffering away in that terrible company.
Good luck and make a run for the exxit.
