Yes EV hype was one of the “sell it to the greater fool” variety cons

@qds+1lFjwvAo No, the company will regret this program. It is creating "bad will" between itself and the dealers. Why should an independent seller have to fork over 1.5 to 2.0 million dollars to impose the will of Ford? This is one of the reasons the dealers are charging over MSRP on their lots.

@lmc+1lFjwvAo EVs are not woke per se, but the push for it from the government, it is definitively WOKE and STUPID. We should let the market to slowly figure things out, like we always did: new shiny and expensive toys go first to rich people until engineers find a better, cheaper way to produce it and then goes mass market.

You may chuckle with being "socialist", but in a way, the mandate for EVs looks like that to many people because of the totalitarian will behind it.

I still upvoted you because I agree that we are not ready yet for EVs, and their use is limited.

I love how EVs are now "woke". They're probably "socialist" too, huh?

The truth is, EVs have their pros and cons, not just cons. To dismiss them wholesale is ridiculous. That said, I'm not sure we're ready for EV pickups except for those who drive trucks as commuter vehicles and for runs to Home Depot.

Those dealers will regret their decision to back out now when the real new Model e products and services are soon to be revealed and released. Why would a dealer want to abandon Ford's future core products? Makes no sense.

Yes! Here’s the consumer math and their logical reasoning:
Lightning EV Battery = Fiesta/Focus with DPS6 POS = Pinto Gas Tank.
Stay clear of all of these vehicles. Buy a Toyota instead for best reliability and durability without recalls too. They last for ever just watch Scotty’s YouTube podcasts .

Yes indeed. Many wise consumers now associate the Ford F150 EV Lightning with the old Ford Pinto. They are avoiding it and what it stands for I.e. woke liberal BS hoax.
