People here have talked about it like it is imminent for the last 2 years.
Was recommended I relocate to SE Michigan when people started coming back into the office, just to meet once a week. But having recently moved to a new team, I don't even know what anyone on my team looks like with no future plans to ever meet in office. So I basically moved just to continue working remotely far away from any friends, family, or support system.
I'm indifferent to whether the work pattern is on-site 5 days a week, hybrid, or remote. I just dislike the ambiguity so I can plan other parts of my life (i.e., where to live, how often I'm commuting, etc.).
People here have also said it's coming when building projects get finished, but anyone I've talked to in person has no idea what the plan is and believe it'll be team dependent / flexible forever.
So outside of trolling and fear-mongering, is RTO happening or what?
