HR exists to protect the company, not to protect the employees.
Don't worry...they won't let 100s go before the spin. They will do like they did with Singapore. Work us night and day through stabilization and then lay people off.
If healthcare is driving 9 billion of revenue and that revenue is no longer there, SG&A will have to be cut in line with that reduction. As an example, if IT receives 1.3 percent of revenues to fund its budget, budget cuts would amount to 117 million due to the 9 billion reduction.This is just an example but IT will see significant reductions due to the loss of revenue. You can plug and play different numbers but in the end, the budgets will be impacted.

Interesting how Mark M. will pay Accenture leads over $600/hr to collect data from the working teams to provide slideshows/updates to leadership. I personally escalated the lack of value these people were providing and within three months my job was eliminated so they would have the budget to keep paying consultants who were not providing any business value.
Uh, you do know that HCBG spinoff was to protect the most profitable business. The rest of the company is actively being restructured post spin to prepare for financial insolvency. 3M will go the way of GE, Kodak, etc.
D&A cut in half with last layoff. Further cut means layoff of entire dept. Look like tireman happy consultants doing job for him.
If this occurs, will be interesting to see if those let go are 3M Consultants-(consultants now 3Mers) or 3Mers. In any event, the cleansing should begin at the top (MJ).
