Major restructuring in CRD. Many people will be affected.
And yes VP,SVP positions are all safe. They always are.
CRD announced layoffs- but jokers VPs and SVPs have their jobs including JB
A lot of layoffs like every quarter. Take care of yourselves.
HR exists to protect the company, not to protect the employees 3M. HR su-ks.
3M's NOBODY'S GONNA KNOW MEME
3M leader "Nobody's gonna know. Nobody's gonna know," to which a second 3M leader responds, "They're gonna know." The first 3M leader then responds, "How would they know?"
Some APAC BT roles have been laid off quietly in Jan as they have completed R4
US already had some in January. It's just been done quietly.
EMEA: Get a Plan B, keep accepting the salary. You now know. Plan accordingly.
Going to be a tough year for the EMEA colleagues.
Long as they keep the sales bros well be good
Literally this site: I saw a top secret document that the company will be sold to China. Source: Trust me bro.
It really doesn't matter what anyone thinks, it's going to go the way leadership wants it to go and that's that. I pause and think of all the great things this company has done - how 3Mers worked together, learned together and gave all to the work that was in front of us. We all worked hard, did great things in the market place globally. It was a good time.
It was just a different time. It's just gone.
Yes they need to do something big at time of spinout. Maybe 20pct reduction in Corp?
The company huddle talked about portfolio optimization and specifically talked about getting out of some Consumer markets. Any idea what that is?
There's actually the regional high job grade (15~17) reporters who does the ppt collator job. This group should be considered if they are truly needed?
Country Prioritization strategy indicates exit activities coming in EMEA countries using new GCS export model (Switzerland based). Based on that strategy, I would anticipate large EMEA impacts coming. I only believe this through docs lying around at HQ, which perhaps is part of the reason people are getting ‘work your way’ (so people and information can be controlled easier). I guess I expect Q3 cuts, unless there are any significant interruptions with the spin………I think this is all in waves and already planned. Sorry for everyone that takes pride in 3M and its people and history (its leaders don’t)
How about they actually get some real cost savings by cutting some high Salary's at the top of 3M. Surely there are some redundancies in JG 15 and above or the excutive conference not yet addressed by previous reductions. They have yet to achieve the 10% reduction in leadership positions Mike quoted in March of 2023. 3M shareholders are owed some cuts from the FAT and bloated part of the company.
EMEA headcount reduction is challenging due to its strict labor law
This company's strategy is to cut its way to growth. So yes, there will be more layoffs.
Great to have this resource. Its the best way to learn the real 3M plans.
Bloodbath is coming soon
Q. Why hasn't Mike told us about the EMEA plans at the team huddle?
A. We are not part of the team. We are employees. In United States labor law, at-will employment is an employer's ability to dismiss an employee for any reason, and without warning, as long as the reason is not illegal. When an employee is acknowledged as being hired "at will", courts deny the employee any claim for loss resulting from the dismissal. Protect yourself by not falling for the lie that you are anything other than an employee. 3M has exercised its right to terminate at will and do not expect anything different in 2024.
Yeah saw it too
Some divisions have already started exiting the large Europe plants like Hilden Germany. More to come.
Saw a document I shouldn’t have. EMEA is going to get annihilated
