Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Splunk EMEA

How is it work for Splunk in the EMEA? A recruiter just reached out to me. The benefits don’t sound exciting but wanted to know what the thoughts of Splunk folks are. Thank you.

@ks+1jj1zd69j - I was at a regional Cisco office and they had a Cisco side and a Meraki side. Was asked not to sit on that side.

I heard the same thing about the Cisco NYC office and AppD. Chuck visited and saw the vast separation between the two and was fit to be tied.

It’s not just Splunk. It happened with AppD and Meraki.

Splunk is shaping up to be another one.

I've work for Cisco for many years and for one of its acquisitions for 18 months. It felt like I left Cisco completely; it was an us vs. them attitude and the acquisition wanted to do things their way exclusively, their tools, their procedures, their email addresses, not Cisco's. I will never work for one of their acquisitions again. Can't speak for Splunk. They still refer to themselves as Splunkers on LinkedIn posts. It's been nearly a year since their acquisition, and they are far from integrated in Cisco.
