Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I don't like the direction Ford is going

I don't like how this company has been doing business for a long time. Since I disagree with Ford's management on most things, I gave notice. It makes no sense to stay somewhere and mostly disagree with company's direction. Maybe someone thinks that the company is going in the right direction? How many of you are there?

@2ihb+1iHG2TQj Toyota is #1 Auto company in the world. They seem to know what they are doing. Unlike the Oval. Maybe they know something you don't? Before you yap about, we are #2 in EVs what exactly are those numbers?

@1sod Toyota sunk their money into hydrogen fuel cells instead of BEVs. I wouldn't call that working smart.

Toyota is not really playing catch up on EVs. They are watching the dumpster fire of too much capacity and too small a market. When they decide to build at volume they will be far better than a Mach E or E Blazer because they will insist on quality engineering and total value, not just a company slogan fabricated by some Tesla rejects hired by Ford and GM.

Toyota is playing catch-up with everyone else in terms of EVs. Once you drive an EV long term you’ll understand.

Guys I worked at Ford before up to 2014. The companies that don’t care about the product will CONTINUOUSLY have issues.
MBAs run AUTO companies and competing with physicist and engineers...
That is the problem!
I work for Stellantis now. Kiss a-s bosses just like Ford say YES to MBAs.
Look at stock price of FORD and Stellantis last 15 year it tells the story.

True @knz, I started looking because I was unhappy and found a gig that paid way more. Now I'm still unhappy, but I wipe away those tears with all the money I make now.

You quit in protest? Or maybe you found a better paying job or are retiring?

If you are unhappy and don't want to work at Ford, don't. Do want makes you happy but don't think for a minute that your unhappiness will change anything or start so waive of departures. Your are not a martyr or revolutionary.

I think Ford Blue is a sinking ship, the smart rats get off the ship before it sinks.
