What’s HC’s job even now? Why’s he still here?
HC is a windbag and isn’t even a good reservoir engineer. Keeps pushing solvents when he knows they don’t work as promised. Did the same thing for ‘wedge wells’ back in the day.

DZ is only a symptom of the problem that started years ago and never got resolved because HC knows how to be a leech

The slide into oblivion started when HC promoted BigZ. That was the single most significant event in the downfall of this company
Cenovus will still have employees after the majority of people leave. They just won’t have good people.
You can hire anyone if you pay them enough.
As a result, our peers in the space will always outpace this company. Our advantage is gone.
I have been through a lot with this company over the last 14+ years, but this is the end for me as well. I just received an offer letter.

Also, he’s apparently very touchy about his lack of credentials/expertise being pointed out. One of my team members was demoted and then laid off after he told Big Z he was unqualified for what the role required.

CFO = Bookkeeper (no capital market, no risk management, no tax, etc. experience)
CIO = Electronics technician (wouldn’t get a CIO role in another company)

Yeah right.. Everyone is claiming they are swamped busy but all are at home barely working and of course enjoying the sun.. come on we’re all milking the CVE cow here no one does work but everyone gets paid love it!!
