Just build those EVs and hopefully people will buy them.

Ford’s EV strategy was this: Government insiders assured manufacturers that ICE cars would be banned leaving only EVs.
That didn’t happen.
Heard Billy and Fartley ignored marketing studies that EVs were not ready for the mass market. But pushed ahead anyway. If marketing said the consumer was crazy about expensive EVs then they should have been fired.
@gc+1jkjyksa6 I think it would probably be more accurate to say corporate greenwashing and a extreme pivot in an attempt to be better positioned to profit off of a perceived booming new segment than other legacy manufacturers. They got cocky
“Let’s build hundreds of thousands of EVs that are more expensive, heavier, and inconvenient to charge vs ICE and save the planet. Then expect the masses to buy them because we are smarter than our customers”. This is leftwing think. Billy, Fartley, and the BOD are mad.
To the low-info person who posted that Congress should “force us to buy EV’s” or “seize our bank accounts “ you are either sarcastic or have a serious deficiency in understanding Liberty.
If you are serious, please leave the company and our nation.
That congress that is getting f*cked by Eilon who is going to drive the federal
policy for EVs? That’s what we voted for and deserve it.
Can't we just use our influence in Congress to make a law that forces people to buy them?
If they resist we can just freeze their bank accounts and delete their online presence.
It would be for the greater good.
Same logic they used when discontinued sedans. It was literally said in all hands meeting “We hope people will buy trucks and suvs”
LOL
"if you build it they will come" != strategy ;)
