I can’t WAIT for them to mandate it. I keep having convos with peers where they reveal they aren’t planning to do it and at this point I’m just beyond tired of this. My closest peer was talking about doing an office share with me, then 5 minutes later announce he was not vaxxed. His excuse? He’s a big strong man who could NEVER get sick.
mandatory vax means that I am gone. Already have other options,

I don't think that concern is completely unfounded.
My charitable argument for their position would be: after 9/11 we got the Patriot Act, the Department of Homeland Security, TSA checkpoints, and the NSA with the Prism bulk data collection. We're just getting out of the resulting war and we still have to take our shoes off, go through a full body scan, and get wanded at the airport.
Now 9/11 and Covid are obviously different situations but both have had enormous impacts on the lives of everyday people. It's very difficult to put the breaks on a Government response, let alone reversing it to an earlier point in time.
This will be a generation defining moment in history and we'll be feeling the fallout from this for generations to come.
The vaccine does not change your DNA.
The technology is decades old now, it's been studied for years, and that's how they developed the vaccine so quickly. It was one of many efforts with different tech.
The science behind mRNA vaccines is available online. You don't need to get your facts from your local Qanon chapter.
Because several hundred million people have now taken the vaccine, it's clearly established as safe.
You people spreading misinformation are hurting people. Eventually you'll realize that and you'll have to live with yourselves.
All y'all freedom lovers let the government snoop into every part of your life over the last 20 years, but now taking a vaccine to help quell a global pandemic is where you draw the line?

@ilh that paper is not peer reviewed, almost consider it a draft. the reason why you cannot find any reference to it now is that it never passed the peer review. you can tweet to the authors and find out what happen but my hunch would be that the research just stopped as they find holes in the narrative
The study shows the mechanism with which the RNA produced by the replicating virus in cells is integrated into our DNA. The vaccine contains the spike protein instead but both can use the same mechanism to alter DNA. What effects that may / may not have long term, we don't know. But if there's any chance of permanently altering our DNA, it's prooooobably something that should be disclosed by the manufacturer.

That's certainly an option but like you said it greatly depends on how each state implemented their system.
I really wonder what the "new normal" is going to be once the dust has settled, it doesn't seem like going back to the 2019 way of life is even in the cards let alone in the broader conversation of what could be done.
They could rely on state databases, but I'm not sure all states have them -- in particular the ones that probably should have them based on their current hospitalization rates.
What's the level of verification that will be required to prove our vaccination?
Do we have to fill out an attestation, are designated people on site going to visually verify your card, do we have to scan and have Wells store our information?
Wells Fargo didn't require and didn't verify the vaccination records of any other dangerous infections prior to COVID for the vast majority of employees. I don't think that it's a stretch to be OK with vaccinations but disagree with all of the new restrictions being put upon people regardless of their vaccination stance.

You'd think people who work for Wells Fargo, one of the largest companies in America which is highly regulated (incl consent orders) and controlled (we're literally selling parts of the company to comply with an asset cap) would realize that big corporations and big government are the two faces of the same coin.

"Your immune system will be ravaged by the vax" is not provable with any evidence nor true but because someone read it on the internet from someone with Dr. in their title makes it a fact. I'm glad my parents didn't have this attitude back when polio and measles were crippling and ki----g us.

I have no problem admitting it. No vax and never will, unless I see a good solid decade of side effects data. Then possibly. Until then, exemption.
FDA approval after only 4 months, when the process generally takes at least 10 months…news articles openly talk about the pressure the agency was under.
Normally I trust FDA approvals, but not this one.

This is a financial decision for companies, especially large ones that are self-insured like WFC. The life insurance they give you as a benefit will cost loads more for people more likely to die soon.
Same for health insurance. All these keyboard warriors who want to talk about how the majority who get covid survive don't factor in the hundreds of thousands of dollars hospitalization of serious cases cost. Or, for that matter, the long term effect medical treatment.

@apm+1ctxcO84 you need a new lawyer. Mandating vaccines is perfectly legal for companies and schools. Supreme Court has upheld the practice. Look at job postings - more and more require vaccination for new hires. Colleges are unenrolling people who aren't vaccinated.
Once the FDA approval is sealed, you'll see even more cases like this.
