There is no such thing as REVERSE RACISM - it is flat out RACISM. Corporate America has gone stupid with the minority and female agenda. White and Asian males have become targets/victims - requiring working harder and proving more than others to get recognized/hired/promoted. This actually is an injustice for everyone. The cycle will eventually cripple orgs due to one sided cultures and all females and minorities will be looked upon as the instigators of issues. Interview EVERYONE and hire the BEST. Stop hiring everyone that is either black, hispanic or female - that is not diversity!!!

I was the only white person in my team of 8 people. And the only person laid off. This is not coincidence. Everything said above about DEI is accurate. It is toxic and now has created deep racial tensions and division.

@7gcd+1s4kCEI5 - i also echo that. PGT FLNA IT is rampant with favoritism and nepotism. Just look into new directors appointed/promoted , the answer is right there....
from developer to directors.

I just want to take a minute to congratulate the DE&I promos coming out of the last reorg. As you celebrate your promo, just remember it came off of the backs of the hard working Americans who unfortunately do not check the same boxes you did

The person who posted about the FLNA PGT favoritism is absolutely correct. FLNA PGT is infested with this kind of garbage

@kbm+1s4kCEI5 is right. one svp - hired his long friend a contractor as snr director. then this snr director hires his long friend who was a developer as director. As per policy there are supposed to be open positions internal externals. it is insane the kind of nepotism and favoritism in the IT FLNA pgt area. No HR oversight.

This has nothing to do with Diversity. This is about money, power and globalism. PepsiCo began the practice of wealth transfer from the US to India with Indra. Now this practice spread to Mexico and Latin America. For every US citizen losing their job to offshore, that wealth from that job also leaves the US.

This is exactly why I left this bullsh-t. Passed over for offshore contractors in the name of DEI.

From my view its more ageism aka cost cutting, Hyderbad hires are diverse, also cheaper

As a middle aged white heteros-xual christian male looking at the new sales and warehouse teams of today I know there is no place for me in the Future of PepsiCo. I will be forced out before I ever get the chance to retire. All we have done is change the groups we discriminate against in the name of progress.

It is rampant in new IT. Recent hires from contractors as developers now Directors. Wow .. based on what??. Past relationships bypassing internal folks. If this is not abuse of power and favoritism what else is it.

This issue with all of the push back against DEI and Diversity initiatives has less to do with the inherent concept, but more so with its implementation. Fundamentally, having a diverse workforce that reflects the customer base and different people of different backgrounds bringing unique and different ideas to the table is a good thing. It something all companies should strive for.

Where this all fails is at the HR level - people who have bloated opinions of themselves who want to do as little work possible to achieve the highest level of visibility possible. As such, HR falls back on lazy quota systems and simply looks to fill roles with any candidate that fits a certain profile versus the best candidate that fits the profile. Little is done to ensure that candidates can actually do the job they are being recruited for. When this happens that individual is set up to fail, and when it occurs it sets back all individuals who look like that individual, even the high performing, high value associates. This is what is actually undermining the whole DEI framework.

Driving the systemic change that PepsiCo allegedly wants to be part of actually requires hard work and effort - effort that is beyond our HR associates who care more about image instead of impact and who's actions paradoxically set back its DEI-based hires.

I am a woman of color....I know what you mean...Whenever I have the opportunity, I caution the company on DEI initiatives and how they can actually back fire. This creates a more hostile working environment. I am currently dealing with this now and its not pretty. I dont think they carefully thought through this...Nonetheless, this is the world we live in...There are people that look different, talk different, dress different, learn different, etc. That will never change. If we dont want to destroy the world, then we have to learn to live together and, at minimum, respect each other. If you are not of color, and DEI rubs you the wrong way, humility and empathy is needed. Learn history to gain better understanding.
