The Great Rating ripoff

The title says it all. It appears they’re making up for the increase in salary in 24 by reducing ratings to deserving hard working employees. #getwhatyoupayfor

After receiving the lowest performance rating I’ve ever gotten in my entire life at ANY job (I’ve been working for 25 years, this is year 6 at SF), I QUIT. It was FREEING.

I thought about hanging around for the EIP, but it wasn’t worth it this year.

As it turns out, I make the same amount of money doing my side hustles as I made at SF. No benefits, but I WAS ONLY USING MY BENEFITS FOR THERAPY AND PSYCH MEDS BECAUSE I HATED MY JOB SO MUCH. Not worth it.

I sincerely hope all of the call center FLLs are very content with having peaked in life by micromanaging when 15-30 adults can go take a dump.

I sincerely hope all of the ET department finds jobs they’re good at, cause systems ain’t it.

Basically to get a decent 3 or even a 4 or above you need to go through several sets of knee pads

@1a1 very well stated, almost like they are pumping out clones in management. They treat us like machinery, as if automated robots are already doing the work. Dehumanizing language referring to employees as "resources, human capital, has capacity (i.e. to have more work dumped on them", etc. I find it discouraging to be referred to as a “business tool” or possession of the company. Might as well have "Property of State Farm" tattooed on my backside.

Reducing human beings to economic value and nothing else. The ultimate in dehumanization. A bad rating often means you're thinking for yourself too much and you are bad automoton that needs more whipping to death.

When you work here, somehow most days end up feeling like you're better off burning in He-l than keeping the job.

Has anyone ever noticed how SF controls you by metrics, what you say, what you do, how you act etc? You are controlled by them to the extent they push you into a subordinate class. They often downtalk you. If you offer an opinion other than their controlling narrative, you are suspect and target all while selling diversity of opinion. In order for SF to be successful in today's environment, they need to change their totalitarian demeanor and allow their employees to be free to discuss their opinions. The old slavery days are over. Freedom should be embraced without name calling and bullying. It is only with freedom of thought great things happen for the benefit of all. This is a MAJOR problem at SF and needs to be addressed. To tell someone to shut up and make them unable to talk gives the strong appearance they have something to hide. Sad but true.

Sh*t is about to change big time. Watch! The suits will be on equal playing ground. The people who have sc--wed others for self gain will be held to account. All those VPAs and VPOs who produced zero and were all image will need to work without their huge bonuses. It's coming. Mark my word. Every dog has its day as they say. Watch what Trump will do with LA! He will show us what a good neighbor is supposed to be. Wealth will again be created by values and work ethic. The other way is a proven failure. Wake up SF!

According to Bloomberg in 2023, the S&P 100 added more than 300,000 jobs, and 94% went to people of color.

"One will be to reexamine State Farm’s recruitment strategies, for example by reworking its intentional recruiting efforts at historically black colleges and universities.

In the first quarter of 2020, 68% of new hires at State Farm, primarily for entry-level roles, have been from minority groups, with a demographic breakdown of 30% Black, 15% Hispanic, 3% Asian and 20% other."

@ga+1. Spot on. Well said! SF execs THINK but that's all they can do. They couldn't punch their way out of a wet paper bag. The objective is to know the game and beat em at it in their own ballpark.

Oh just wait 2025 is going to be the undoing for a lot of people. These Execs are about to swing for the fences. See they think YOU are the problem, not their "well made" business plans. They lie and distribute constant propaganda to people who are too stupid or vested in SF to do anything about it or pushback. They think you, the average employee, is just too stupid to realize what they are doing. When they call the wrong play, it is the players fault not the coaches or general managers/Execs! If you read the headlines everyone's company is scaling back 5-10% of their work force and saying the exact same thing, you have to do more with less and with less money. Corporate always calls it higher productivity! (really just for bigger Exec bonuses) LOL! SF deserves to become #2 then hopefully it becomes #3 very quickly! Wait till they have a few extra thousand Auto U/W employees, that need a job due to automation, to play with! Sh-t is about to get stupid!!!

Yep I got so much work and responsibility piled on me last year and only got a 3. I've been a "trainer", "resource", "escalation specialist", etc. My manager tried to backtrack and say well it was a high 3 but that doesn't help make it better lol. I just don't care anymore. I'll be browsing listings because I'm sick of fixing everyone's cr-p and dealing with their problems.

  1. 7% is the target for all levels 1-5. Most people will get a 3% raise with a level three rating if you are below or near the midpoint! On a positive notes State Farm has raised rates by 27% over the last two years so most agents got at least a $100k raise for doing absolutely except calling you and making you miserable! Cheers!
