I'm hearing Ford will be removing LL5's LL6's??? BS?

I doubt it. There are LOTs of LL5 and LL6 jobs on the Ford careers site. They are going to hire more and if anything layoff the GSRs. And just wait until AI really kicks in.

@rm - All Ford I have owned in 25 years are out of production. Great vehicles but management decided to stop making them. Ford Escort, Mercury Sable, Flex, Fusion and Edge. Even though I have A plan for life, I think I am done with them.

The title of this post should say “Ford removing 50% of LL4 and above. LL6 and LL5 does the most work. There are few LL5 culprits that should be gone. I will go further and say Ford should stop management lease program and let all
Leaders purchase their cars from dealership( like all GSRs). Their vehicles are delivered to them at their office. They never drive small cars. All of them get brand new cars every few months. What a waste. They make engineers run around for issues with poor description (sometimes reported by their spouse).

DF is not going anywhere. He is a vital part of Ford+ and the company’s transformation. Model e is the same as a start-up company and will take some time before profitability. I expect DF to see this through.

Ford never addressed the actual root cause.
Instead of looking in the mirror, they blamed engineers for last 4 years, Ines, for misdirection, technical burdens, and missed timelines - even though no real timelines were ever given.

A circus? A clown show? A Sh--t show? You know the truth and it is obvious.
The house of card is based on immorality and self-preservation to rip you off and rip the customers off.

Dog F reaches three years in October, which means 401K will be vested. Let’s see what happens after that.

In math, 2= 5 but here we have :
Apple Phones = Vehicles
Intel CPUs = Vehicle
Are they the same consumer junk to throw away in 2 years ?

The aren’t really getting rid of the role but redefining it. A big change is in the benefits, specifically MLV. Our LL4 is quite open with us here in Ottawa and gave us details of what is being discussed. They aren’t sure of the nomenclature but want to keep LLx as a leadership with benefits while the current LL5/6 will be leadership with benefits closer to GSR

There have been conversations around fixing the lack of a true technical career path, which is ironic as they purposely removed the tech career path in the 90s as well everyone should aspire to leadership. Up or out. But surprise, surprise you do actually need skilled engineers to remain competitive. LMAO

The old gsr 8 and 9 were combined to ll6; the old 10 and 11 combined to ll5
The 9 of old was like a lead engineer, the 10 like a tech fellow. These were true tech specialists.

There have been conversations about reverting to having more tech bands. The problem is that the majority of current “tech specialists” are tech specialists in name only (FnF) and there is so much gaming of the system that there is little confidence by senior leadership in any scheme that the LL3->LL6 have any influence in designing.

You may have noticed a recent HR initiative around filling in forms with your technical background. Between HR and the cough corrupt LL6->LL3 a better technical career path is coming. Keep in mind many of the current LL3 eliminated all the LL6 tech specs in 2019->2021 and subsequently promoted unqualified FnF to those very positions that they are now seeking to re-band to higher salaries ranges. And lets not forget the LL3 handing out HTHD designations to competent FnF.
