Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Vicki needs to go. DEI is dead

Worst performing stock in O&G space. 30% lower than before APC acquisition. Highest cost producer. Get rid of the clownshow and bring in a real management team. One that knows how to make money. Make 65 mandatory retirement age. Only person bigger joke than VH is Hawaiian shirt GVG.

Oxy will be the last O&G company clinging to DEI, but maybe at arms length. Recall when the newly hired DIB VP announced "WE ARE WOKE!" in Vicki's town hall - they edited out that part in the video later!

To quote Vicki's hero Bear Bryant:

"There's no use fussing on a boy who doesn't have any ability."

Not sure why the BOD didn't and still doesn't - or just plain refuses to - see that.

@k4+1jjznecet, i’ll give that a four out of ten on the sarcastic meter. Post again, because I know you can do better.

But she Kayaks in the Gulf of America. Doesn’t that count for anything?

@ea+1jjznecet, so let me get this straight. You hate it, but you hate someone else more than you hate it, so you are for it. And you don’t like the people that you actually like, because they don’t hate the person that you hate as much as you do.

Has Oxy pulled the plug on DEI or do they stand firm with companies like Costco. Many of us are not supportive of the DEI but if it comes down to intimidation by DT then by all means keeping DEI is the choice. I heard that the red states are trying to intimidate Costco in dropping their DEI program. Who the fu-k do these sh---y a--holes think they are. Yes, our Texas AG was one of those who was involved. For shame, for shame you Dems. When will the Democrats get strong again to go up against these republican people who don’t represent the good people of America. Republicans are reckless and need to be removed. Again, the blame for all of this is on the Dems.

"Bad timing" on virtually every undertaking should tell you something about her capabilities as a CEO.

But she is such a nice person to all. Doesn’t that count for anything.

I can't defend Vicki because the facst are the facts. What I do apprecaite is she has not sold us down the road like Al Walker did APC to get a hundred plus million.

It is too late at this point. How did it get here? What does the board do..? Do they not have to approve any of this cr-p? Can no one understand a basic cash flow statement at Oxy?

It’s time for her to go. She had bad timing but at the end of the day was unsuccessful left and right. Carbon capture looked like it might be a good move but with Trump in office it’s best to dump it now while you still have some value.

Vicki needs to go?

You can't be serious!

When Chazen tossed her the keys in 2016 the stock price was $75 and the dividend was $3.00.

Nine years and a few acquisitions later the stock price is $47 with a $ .88 dividend.

Don't you have any vision?

Next you'll be saying the employees shouldn't get a bonus just because the stock price dropped 18% last year.

Unbelievable.

Too late for changes at the top. Company will be acquired and assets sold off just as Oxy did to APC.
