Only reason I am still here is I'm retiring in less than two years. I can't go anywhere else at this point and make the same money I am making here after almost 30 years. If I were younger (or made less), I would have been gone a couple of years ago. Our service is tanked thanks to Mother X and our response time (XBS/GIS) is a running joke in the industry. If you have more than four or five years before retirement, get out now.

So I already have to the jobs of 3 or 4 at another industry OEM company. Grass isn’t greener.

Good point of possibly leaving industry, but an available jump in title within industry from experience to Xerox still seems like a good idea to me. My business is to make more money, and that’s the opportunity.

In the interview I got the impression the Xerox crash in industry is flattening out.

Interested to read more Xerox employees honest thoughts. Thanks.

You will definitely learn to multitask as you will be doing the jobs of 3 or 4
people that were laid off ..The people are gone but the work remains…

Executive games of hide n seek (literal and metaphorical) are way more fun. Less headcount = more places to hide.

There is no upside. Xerox is as bad as Konica Minolta, Sharp, Toshiba, Danka, or even Kodak at the end there.

It’s he industry that blows, and select companies get off on how bad they can use you, and still make you think you have a career there.

It’s sad and its like it’s an industry standard to do this to people and deny it categorically.

You and everyone else truly has no business being here and having any dealings with these companies.

They reap what they sow.

I’m hoping there’s an upside for accepting a growth position at Xerox from a long time lower level employment at an another copier OEM (Ricoh, Canon, KM, etc).

Xerox people think I have that right? Thanks.

Because nobody is held accountable, you can get away with doing nothing all day. And this can go on for years. So if you're looking for a company that will allow you to slack off, then this is the company for you.
