PTO Payout in S&T

I have some questions on leaving Pepsi S&T: 1. Does PTO get paid out if you resign. 2. How do they payout when there is no vacation tracking for FTE. 3. What is notice period you have to give above Manager level? Thanks

They didn't pay me out my vacation time. Was salaried. Acted like they would since they were asking questions about how much time I used. If I knew they were going to skunk me I would have put in for 3 weeks vacation!

Do they pay personal days or just vacation?

When I retired HR asked me about unused PTO. They have a spreadsheet that they enter this into that prorates it against the balance of the year and will pay you unpaid PTO accordingly.

  1. PTO/Vacation - If earned and unused, they have to pay you if you resign.
  2. Based on what your next level up submits. You shouldn't have an issue with this, if you kept a record.
  3. If you're in a "right to work" state, you don't need to give them one day's notice; you can just walk out. Professionally, two weeks. No. 2 could be affected by how you handle No. 3. No tracking could work against you.
