HR in GF is so biased. I was asked to leave GF during my notice period after I challenged my highly incompetent manager in AME on his understanding. I filed a suit after leaving GF. HR never bothered to interfere and correct.

I already started applying outside GF. To tell you frankly, I am not getting good attention as GF is not as prestigious or reputed anymore. People who left GF are well aware of potential of left overs in GF.

It’s so you can attempt to find a decent Mgr. There are not that many, to be honest.

How to fix the revolving door due to allowing ER to stay as HR head 10 years longer than needed.

I still don't know any details about this, but from what I gather it sounds like a gimmick to get people cross-trained in different areas so they can do 2x the work as GF continues to hemorrhage talent

One of the more d-mber ideas lately. Must be the same person who thought oil was a great holiday gift.

Takes about a year for an engineer to get in a good groove and be beneficial to their department.
I could see this is : I don't like my manager so I will move departments.

  • I can not finish this project because I am moving modules.
  • Near impossible to rate someone properly.
  • Golden skate opportunities.
  • Endless updating of EE/PE contact lists, at list now it is just delete and pray for a backfill.

In short a disaster. Same will be with the Phoenix Training program. "Let's make people trainers, with out actually sending people to training. "

I would have loved to have been present when this HR fool pitched the idea to TC and PB. "We'll just let the rabble think they're getting ahead by switching departments, they'll forget how miserable they are." Well played champ, you're going right to the top.

You got it! It’s more circle jerk bs. Go apply to apple or Intel and tell them you got it!! They won’t give a sh-t and might even just laugh in your face. GLOBALFOUNDRIES is not respected in our industry. So if it’s being advertised as prestigious- take a step back and a breath… it’s GLOBALFOUNDRIES… it’s not a prestigious and it won’t help you career (even inside of GF)

Just an amateurish way to try and keep people from quitting. Go away HR flunkie.
