We all miss Chuck. Never would have happened if he was still here. Never! All of this is horrid .Just unfathomable . I get sick looking at our stock price. I am an employee but also a shareholder. They can hide from the employees, but accountability if not given to us as employees should be honored to us as shareholders. An employee would have long ago been fired…not allowed to stay on and continue to deconstruct what we have all worked hard to build up over the years.

You don’t really know a person until you see how they handle adversity. This year has been very revealing of Walt, Rick, and the rest of the EC. And not in a good way…I’m embarrassed to work for this company.

Ironically I think the bank implosions earlier this year actually helped delay the layoffs. They could’ve planned cuts as early as April but it would be sui-idal for them to do so when the company stock tanked so hard. Now that things have settled, they can go ahead with the cuts to make budget.

Walt said his plans for the future was remote work for Schwab and Covid just sped that up and remote work was here to stay… he then said he never said that and the firm never promised us that meanwhile for the past 3 years have been encouraging us to move and do whatever we need to do for the best work/life balance… that’s gaslighting. Trying to make us believe we didn’t hear what we heard.

Today the company is terrible. The reason it is terrible is that it is disorganized and no one knows how to manage remotely. Not to mention bad bets as a bank.

So the simple things just don't get done. I blame the people making millions for not knowing what they are doing, clearly.

Walt and RIck can stomach a lot - so don't rely on their own self recognition. FIND A BETTER PLACE TO WORK.

@wzi+1oGgHKs9 It boils down to who we really are in the dark. A rich, gentlemanly fellah who donates handsomely to charity could also shove grandma’s wheelchair out of the way escaping a burning building.

The “new Walt” disgusts me with his gaslighting, lies and stern demeanor. I remember meeting him years ago and he was the nicest guy and now he’s like an angry fathering punishing his children with his YOU WILL DO AS I SAY style. It’s gross. I can’t wait to leave, this company has turned into a real sh-t show in the last few months. He’s a disgrace, the entire EC is a shameful disgrace.

It’s like the twist ending of a Twilight Zone episode: employee wishes for a new CEO, and the Genie obliges by replacing Walt with Rick.

He was a decent CEO for years. But his legacy is definitely tainted now with the constant bad press, tanking stock and most of all - the 30,000 employees who view him in a new light after being dr-g through the mud for months. With his net worth… I’m sure he could care less.
