This morning I received an email blast about how Oracle is promoting an “internal first mindset “ for career growth. Clearly the reality is that people are fed up and leaving, and then their positions are never posted internally, and then more Walmart cronies are quickly and secretly recruited. Welcome to management by fear and loathing and a big FU to all of the Oracle faithful whose misguided trust and faith has been so undermined by this regime

How do you know they aren’t leaving or anything about their circumstances and reasons for staying? The fact of the matter, is these are not the practices of a good and/or decent company

That’s exactly what is happening! The best and the brightest are leaving, or gone, at an amazing rate.
I just got a new job. They told me not to apply and that it would be a “management transfer” and thus no actual promotion or raise. Nothing. Then last week the person that hired me says “can you find this req and apply to it?” Another scumbag tactic these rats are using. So now they’re gonna try and lock me in for 12 months so I can’t apply for anything else internally. Thankfully tons of places are hiring and this place is definitely Walmart 2.0. The mgmt mentality isn’t the 2000’s, not the 90’s, the mentality here is straight from the 70’s and 80’s. Disgusting.
Oracle is a horrible company.
So freaking leave the company then. Or would you rather stay put and complain incessantly? You are showing your true colors it that's all you do.
Apparently, Oracle is rife with nepotism. If you can't beat 'em then join 'em. Start putting on the chapstick...
