Question: Now that most red states are ending DEI initiatives, and large corporations that align with conservative values, such as John Deere, are also ending their DEI initiatives - do you believe that Ford Motor Company will follow suit? Why or why not?

You shouldn't be surprised by any of this. Ford is regularly considered the most r@ci$t of the auto manufacturers. The majority of leadership are old white men and they take care of their own. And mention of inclusion or equity to other groups makes the old white men feel threatened.

I got hired to Ford last September. And I'm already promoted to a LL6.

Things is great here. Finally a company that UNDERSTAND what it's like for all their employees. They made it more fair to all us groups.

There was a time in this here country when certain groups did the brunt if the work while another groups got all the credit and spoils. Now we are back to that way of life - it's just that you people find y'all on the wrong end of the whip. You ain't had no problems with it before so why start now?

I hope things stay the way they is. It's looking great for so many people nowadays.

Maybe y'all should try taking a knee before NASCAR races to drum up some attention for your cause..

DEI is Dis·crim·i·na·tion: the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of ethnicity, age, s-x, or disability.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) – Ford definition: preferential treatment in hiring and promoting a person of color/female for entry and midlevel positions. Priority order: African American, then women, Hispanics, LBGT+, all other minorities, no other choice white male.

Ford would do better if they hired and promoted the best person for a position and not the best DEI person for the position.

Discriminating against 58.9% of Americans to “correct past discrimination” is dividing our society and bad for business.

@3tad+1mHTT8hT. No, it means we have too many people who struggle to provide actual value looking for an unearned leg up. DEI is no different than the friends and family plan, just a different group of friends and family. The rest of us who are not part of the club don't need lectures about our privilege from people who have plenty of privilege.

I once worked on a special vehicle program headed by a DEI manager who was appointed by Bill Ford. The program had some very unrealistic objectives which would lead to the loss of production at Michigan Assembly Plant. Any time you would bring up a fact that contradicted his opinion or had proof the an objective was not feasible he would threaten you with Bill Fords name or publicly humiliate you. I advised him that it would be better to build the vehicles at the Pilot Plant at reduced numbers. That only got me questions from my management, why I wasn't cooperating. I explained that the parts were being redesigned in such a way that the plant could not swap out the production tooling run the required number of units and be up and running regular production the following Monday. I then contacted the Body Area Manager and arranged a tour of the Bodyshop and Underbody Line. It then became apparent to the DEI guy that what Bill Ford wanted was not feasible without production units/financial loss. l left that program and a few months later and later learned that the program was scaled back to the volume that I had said was realistic. Bill Ford and his initiatives have been damaging the company for more that 30 years.

We call them alphabet people, as it covers all of the perversions. You never know what new letter they’re going to add, so alphabet people about sums it up for the group.

Society is getting more perverse by the day. Lowest common denominator. Inch by inch the perversions prevail. What use to be asking for same s-x marriage, has morphed to outright complete abomination and nonsense today. What comes tomorrow?

Regardless how society “wants” you to accept a unicorn and their feelings of the day, I think the large majority of people will agree they’ll never hold any real respect among these people in society.

Here’s the problem for corporations. You can try to teach us the material, but we aren’t listening or accepting it. It will never be taken seriously, nor ever accepted. While we smile back at you, you have no idea what we are thinking. Your team, is nothing more than your leadership walking alone.

A rebellion is starting, and it’s hidden behind the scenes, unseen by most. It starts by waking up and teaching your children about the perversions of society. That ALL corporations are beholden to something much greater that is PUSHING an agenda onto the people. It’s very easy to see.

The Ford people seem like a way better crowd. Reading the comments here...you are my people!
My other 2 cents: GM is woke As F***!!! DEI isn't just a mantra, we get daily emails and seminars about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. It's nauseating. After thousands left with the "voluntary separation package" (can you blame them?) many of us are left with 2 or more jobs to cover. Slammed all day long with phone calls, meetings, work. The last thing I have time for is another meeting about rainbow people and what offends them.

Regarding the cat litter for furries, careful where you step.
This can get divisive. Therefore you need a diverse selection of cat boxes.
You need separate covered cat litter boxes for privacy.
Some cats will want separate cat boxes for #1 and #2.
Some want clumping litter vs. traditional. Some want scented with febreze, some need no scents or dyes, (d).i.e hypo-allergenic.

Different gendered cats also need their own cat boxes.
Some cats will identify as fish thereby needing an aquarium to immerse themselves for bathroom functions.
Some cats will identify as dogs or dog-curious and will need the opportunity to be leash-walked outside to a grassy lawn or fire hydrant.

It’s all in the inter-sectionality.

Truth @jit. I can remember how angry the qualified and already promoted women were @ Ford twenty some years ago where in the name of equity Ford did mass promotions of women. The women who were qualified and previously respected then had to constantly fight the stigma of being assumed they were handed their job. And of course the mass promotions had nothing to do with merit, in fact there was an inverse relationship between being competent and being promoted. That action had lasting negative effects.

The same thing is playing out now. If you have 5 DEI candidates for promotion, guarantee the least competent is promoted at Ford.

Unfortunately, at Ford, it leads to a process whereby individuals are put into positions based solely on their diversity status rather than their knowledge, skills and abilities. Ford leadership will say that there are no quotas, but anyone with an ounce of objectivity can see that's not true.

Bottom line is that if you hire someone as a place kicker who can't kick a ball, the team isn't going to be successful.

DEI or (DIE) is a sub-component of ESG.

Where do your investment dollars go?
If they go to into many funds by BlackRock, State Street, Vanguard etc. then those dollars are going to support ESG initiatives and in-turn used against you. Follow the money.

Where do your union dues go?
How are those funds used against you?

How are your tax dollars are mismanaged? What effect does that have on your family and your way of life?

With each of the media enhanced initiatives, what one sees behind the scenes is some vocal group will prepare a letter that demands each company issue a press release with the enclosed message And an amount to be pledged to their cause.
They bully and intimidate the leaders of corporations into paying fealty to their harmful and deceptive narrative. True change is not the desired result. It’s all about the $ and the spotlight. Rather than challenging the bullies, Ford leaders have prostrated themselves and taken actions counter to the company and shareholders interests.

It's affirmative action for everyone not qualified as a top candidate. It's at participation trophy for 2nd through 100th place and more. When results matter, when quality matters, when something so critical that your life depends on it, no worries, as you have "not the best and brightest" working on the issue.

It's as if you were standing under a vehicle held up by a VERY strong chain, and one of those chain links were made of pasta. It doesn't make you a pasta-phobic, but some people can see that diversity is not your strength. With enough time, diversity is going to get you crushed in the end. As with all programs that push the non-sense, the failures are a beautiful thing to observe. There is great satisfaction seeing the rewards, or consequences of the choices made, whether it's a enjoyable accomplishment, or a comical and monumental disaster in the making.
