There is talk of sale to private equity, talk of spin off and talks of mass layoff(obliteration).
I am sick of worry. So hard to find a job in this market for an older H1b person :-(

EUC will be Tanzu’d. Please start preparing.
"Perhaps a private equity firm could streamline the BU and harvest what's left in the base."
Spinning us off to private equity is likely a much worse outcome for EUC employees. Look at what happened to Citrix. We would likely be decimated.
if Monkey == Donkey, then Hock/ey in my Jock/ey, makes me Rock/y.
I agree, the EUC BU is close to its total end-of-life. The Citrix replacement campaign proved that few CIOs want to swap one obsolete solution with another, when there are numerous startups offering modern solutions at much better price points. Plus, now that Microsoft is using their Intune Suite to displace the WS1 installed base, all VMW renewals will require heavy discounting. There's just no logical way this BU can be a fit for BC. Perhaps a private equity firm could streamline the BU and harvest what's left in the base.
Industry analysts say the main EUC weakness is the age of the underlying technology, and that the legacy digital workspace software market is already saturated. Many current customers are looking at less complex and lower cost app streaming solutions.
Bottom line, the EUC cash cow has no upside. Also, I would question the profitability claims of other posters. Just look at the size of the employee base for this BU, then consider the embedded cost of supporting this customer base, and you'll see why BC has concerns that new price increases (their prior strategy for legacy BUs) won't be tolerated by savvy VMW customers who have paid too much for these old-tech platforms.
EUC makes a ton of money. 60 cents of every dollar goes to other areas in VMWare. A spinoff could be the best path for EUC, or at least to let the department invest more of the revenue on itself.
Having said that, it does not matter how much money it makes, how important/essential you are or whats the impact to the customer. Its all about what that dude in upper management thinks is the best way to save money and make himself a big fat bonus.
EUC is the safest place to be right now.
@jem+1nV3u4gk Revenue and profit are two different things. Using PSO backlog as a rationale is a fools argument. BC doesn't want PSO margins... they are too low.
"I am sick of worry"
First thing to do - stop worrying. Worrying about it will not solve anything. Even outside this acquisition, US employment law in most states is a "right to work" where you or your employer can end the relationship at any time for any (mostly any, anyway) reason, or no reason at all. This is life in the US and nobody's job is safe anywhere.
I can understand immigration status being a concern, I also went through this too but with a different company. Again though, this is all outside of your control. If you think that your job might be at risk look around to see what is available elsewhere, that is all you can do. Depending on where you are in your immigration process you may have more options available to you - make sure you are aware of what options are available for you.
"We make a lot of money"--this is not true
The only cash cow is just vsphere.
PSO does.

Some things to consider. EUC has a large customer base. We have a large backlog of PSO engagements (like over a year) and people will be needed to fulfill these engagements. Customers like our software and it’s better than MS’s offerings. We make a lot of money. Sure, things will change but I don’t think that EUC is going away.
I heard it too. From a source I would call reliable
Where did you hear all of this?
