Not meeting expectations across the board

Well, second of two issues. DId the 1:1 at work and got the not meeting expectations. Secondly the real boss, the darling wife, just told me this morning, also am not meeting expectations. Not sure yet in what aspect, but looks like it is time for the guy to punt across the board. Thinking about moving to Colorado and taking up some gardening. At one with nature.

When in doubt, punt.

As in the movie "Heat".

"Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner"

I think I'm feeling that heat now both from work and at home.

Advice? Anyone want to roadtrip to Colorado?

I’m guessing you’ve never asked for a skip level or sought out the council and fireside chats led by Bertunnchi? Lock in and twell! Realize there’s a target on your back and fire the f back!!!

Found the boomer. The “work harder and just pull yourself up by the boot straps” era is long gone.

su-k it up buttercup, this isnt a job for the weak or lazy. we all get the heat, its about managing it, thats what the successful has over the slobs who get hand outs. Tough all over , grow one or get out.

Well, both evaluations sound pretty appropriate as evidenced by your massive give-up plus cut & run idea.

Or, you could realize that NME isn't necessarily a reflection of your worth as a person, and your wife is probably cheating on you.

One of my all-time favorite quotes.

Cisco had no annual evaluations for te longest time I remember.

These are back!!! And the only reason is to level set employees vs Managers. Tells you who is the boss and to degrade employees. This SUC1KS!!!

I'm in the same boat on the work front. In my 26 years at Cisco, I have never EVER been told I need to work harder and faster, until 2 weeks ago, and yet I've never worked harder in my entire life.
