Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Return to ANI??

Just curious if anyone has returned after being made redundant? Would you?

I know a couple of people who have. My favorite is someone who they quite deliberately laid off who then returned on a reskilling project and is still there after the people who laid them off, were then laid off.
It’s just work.

ANI is getting worse, this we know based on headcount and the culture change & budget cuts for Sports & Social. I think you have to ask yourself if you think it'll still be there in 10 years.

If you're out a few years, and desperate, then like others said, no shame coming back. But if you're only out within last few months, which guessing maybe you are, then get out there and try other things. Places better than Allstate and places worse. Have to do what's right by you.

Good luck.

The equivalent of offering a survivor of the titanic a free ticket on their next non-sinkable journey

@j3 I agree with you. In the US they would try to shame you and call you not loyal/quitter. However, they would get rid of your position or you in a heartbeat if they can. No such thing as loyalty anymore

It's better being employed than unemployed, but if you have a sniff of a better offer elsewhere, take it. And if you do come back, don't stop job hunting. No-one's going to scoff at you for paying your mortgage or feeding your family.

@aw shameful. You offer nothing other than a reminder of the ignorance of the few. A keyboard warrior is your badge of honor.
