@7zkq+1ugbQALi Whoever told you that is full of cr-p. Finance CLs only go up to 40 if you’re the CFO. Obviously your logic doesn’t make sense since a 50 year old can be a CL 50.

If they try to promote you to CL28, just say no. You would just be dropped to the bottom and provide points for the HiPos in that rank group.

I was once told that your CL should match your age. By age 27, you should be CL27, and by age 30....

If you are not an MBA or Masters Accounting from a top 20 university, you will probably top out at CL 27...

If you are top 5%, you can make CL 30 by age 32. Top 20% can get to CL 28 by Age 30

OP that's a stupld question. You won't last more than a year or two. You won't make it past 2025. You should be looking for another job not thinking about your next promotion. Again you won't make it no matter how badly you want it. Sorry dude this is Darren's world.

@izs+1ugbQALi That’s a great question… you should consider applying you corporate strategy case analysis skills to what you see going on around you.

Worry about your progression to retirement. Who cares what cl level you end up at as long as you can retire. It is hard to make it nowadays. Good luck as it seems you have a long way to progress. Say 5 to 7 years to progress each cl. 20 to 24 years to go. It gets harder to move up the higher you ho. It's is like the speed of light the closer you get the more energy it takes to go faster until you need infinite energy.

It doesn’t matter now about CL progression before. There is about to be a dramatic change in Finance. Half the jobs in finance today will be eliminated or moved overseas. Less executive positions going forward,
