Many companies are laying their employees off. It's called salary reset. Companies are off-loading their high salary employees and hope to hire people for far lower pay. People who already been laid off are desperate for any job for any pay.

Good luck out there

I doubt this RIF will end with the week. Maybe for IT, but the rest of MDT will probably be culled over the next few weeks.

If you know of EMEA layoffs can you tell us what functions/roles are being impacted? Isit in Europe or mainly in the MEA region?

Hewitt and GE were dying and needed to revolutionize itself. Is Medtronic product like a vcr or printer?

Layoffs are a very short term fix to stock valuation. Long term it tends to do more harm than good due to constant reorg, morale and loss institutional knowledge. The stick will improve when we start innovating again and provide real value to our market again. Otherwise all that’s happening is cutting away to hide a lack of vision.

we need more layoffs and be more leaner. Stock hasnt done anything in years. Sad but true.

I have heard 30+ in IT but could be more. Delivery teams. On until 6/3, then 2 months no access then severance. Yes they need to train their offshore replacements before they leave to get the time and severance.

Hoping they will get 2 weeks for service and full MIP and remainder of the year medical coverage. IMHO best of luck folks.

Apps support. I heard like SAP and such. if a MSP can do your job, you could be out. employed until 6/3 tho.
