on april fools day, some (or all) refinery supervisors received an email from corporate HR stating that MPC would no longer test for THC to allow for more “equitable” testing across all sites, including those for which weed is legal. individual contributors didn’t get this email. is this legit or an april fools prank?

@ife how do you know? Or how did you find out for sure ?
Now that proprietary employees don’t get tested for THC, how long until this rolls out for contract employees?

Anyone hear anything? My coworkers and I still haven’t got anything official. We are non union non dot non mplx - mpc employees
It’s legit. As other have said treated the same as alcohol except if you are DOT sensitive. If you are DOT sensitive then no change.
I saw a picture of a company letter stating May 1st also. I wonder if this change will be shared before then with that date as the effective date or will they wait until the 1st to broadcast anything.
I would wait until May 1st when the CBT and Policy are updated for any confirmation. But if you have nothing to worry about just ask your supervisor.
the dr-g and alcohol policy looks the same though…how do we get confirmation without looking obvious?
Corporate HR. King of the April's fools pranks
It's legit. Same stance / rules as alcohol. Come to work high / drunk = fired.
It is legit.
