Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Clinton hourly workers

FYI, it is now confirmed that they're not offering any of the hourly workers in Clinton any chance to move. They're just dumping all of them. Wow.

vSyrup and many other serpents came to this place. They do not care and have no compassion other than filling their own pitiful pockets. This is what you for sitting in those stupid town halls in Clinton, NJ site and silently listening to gargbage that came out of all pouty mouths.

Don't worry Clinton employees, we in BTC will take over all your work and do it at a fraction of a cost. You can now lay down and rest in peace. Your jobs are in good hands.

@1tql+1tyNhAlx its a research site. Productivity would always be zero

Sarnia research is 100% MPT and will be close to 100% laid off. Totally brutal, but can't have 100 Canadian expats with no home country role to ever return to.

@1tql+1tyNhAlx who can blame them?
I wouldn't want to do much in their shoes after being told point-blank that the company absolutely does not care and considers you worthless.

Union productivity will be close to "zero" between now and site closing.

They have allowed lab and operator wage to move in the past for other wage roles but did not pay for relocation. Union can’t do anything if they shut down the site. All they do is make them do layoffs by seniority. Don’t help much if they’re all laid off.

If I look at the folks from Clinton posting here on this board, smart decision.

There's about 120 out of the roughly 300 total employees.

The union tried.

Wait we still have the Union to do something. Surely they can fight on something

And you're surprised? EM has never included non-MPTs in similar circumstances. At best they may be offered some position if they move themselves. Even then, that's been for SNE roles, like admins, and never hourly.
