I’m in middle management on the blue side and found out today everything points to 7/28 being the first official organized turndowns
I know many of us have been looking for new opportunities so good luck to everyone. Tough times for all

@hpx+1nLTjvFA - Come on, bruh! Putting manager in those parenthesis is quite a reach. By job title you are called manager but you are a technical lead. 56 = Staff, the day-to-day grunts, 58 = Shift Lead. You are in between. 57's in my area do the normal daily grind like the 56's and a lot of those struggle to do that.
They want the 60 day notices to be finished before December and final payouts on severance to be complete by year-end so they can show all of this on their YEAR END numbers to the board and shareholders.
It would be really helpful if the responses included their org name atleast.
Seems like Mondays after market close have been the trend for larger layoffs…
Same here on some of the talking points in our group meeting. Our group's cuts may jot be this week, but it certainly seemed some cuts are coming this week or next. That might also allow them to include it in Q3 earnings. Others posted here that you can only do that after the 60 day period.
It almost seemed like a pep talk. Stay focused.
@hpx+1nLTjvFA what did your manager say?
I just had a 1:1 with my manager.
I’m a 57 (manager) and I can say that this SOUNDS accurate based on the inklings of encouragement I was getting.
Project management
I have no insight into the matter. But I think digital services is an easy assumption.
Also which line of business would be targeted?
They've been laying people off since the day the layoff email went out. They may layoff more people Friday, but it's not "the first official organized turndowns"
Can I volunteer as tribute of my sector?
Do we know what area will be affected for this round?
does anyone know what the selection process looked like?
