...the employees are letting the company down.
This reminds me of John Akers famous address to IBM managers in 1991 - "the company has too many people standing around the water cooler waiting to be told what to do. Where's the beef? What the he-l are you doing for 'me'?"
What did I do for John? I LEFT!

I swear, having an MBA should be a warning, not a qualification.

It’s so interesting to watch every low level individual offer suggestions on running the company.
Sorry folks, the executives run the company with inputs from everyone but it’s their decision.

@hkc

sorry to point this out but you sound like the witless executive in Lowell who says "AK, AK I love AK" during the pathetic "Join Arvind" Slack sessions. I guess you are groveling while desperately trying to keep your executive job which is disappearing for foreign shores or eliminated entirely? good luck with that fruitless endeavor...especially letting the ungrateful company down.

LOL !

rats are looting the ship before they jump away and the ship goes down
i think our soceity will have to come up with some ways to charge these
unethical clowns with theft
we have seen over the past decade that folks can be quite creative with the
so-called "law"

IBM (more specifically IBM executive management) is in a bind. Cutting rank-and-file employee costs will have diminishing returns from here on out...lines of business have already been axed, what can be offshored has been offshored, and rank-and-file employees are still required to make stuff, work with customers and keep the lights on.

In the meantime, executives aren't blind...they know what's going on, even if their corruption and complicity gets in the way. They have options, and they are interested in their own futures. If you're at the top, you can't just tell your senior staff to sacrifice for the greater good...they aren't soldiers, and they have no love or loyalty to anything except their own bank accounts. At best they are mercenaries, but even mercenaries are paid. So they gotta be paid.

IBM is in trouble.

If everyone would calmly return to the office 5 days a week, IBM would be in amazing shape.. Most weeks. Some weeks might require 6 days in the office. As noted previously, the employees are letting the company down.

only way to fight back is to quit and let the company rot
