Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

More work for the rest of us

The latest layoffs have exacerbated an already bad situation. Throughout the past several years, I keep seeing teams get smaller and the work remains the same. This is not a sustainable way of doing business. It's only a matter of time before most of us can't get the work done because there aren't enough of us. Then what?

What a fu----g looser - without American entrepreneurship, you would be sucking wind in India and Mexico. I have worked with enough incompetent people in India and Mexico to make the comment above.

Your work remains the same? Where I am, people keep dwindling and the amount of work keeps growing.

Coke is boosting its workforce. Especially away from home marketing. PepsiCo is losing its competitive edge (if one even existed).

Pepsi is doing this by design to justify sending more work overseas.

I was at a meeting and they said soda and chips sell themselves. If you don’t like it. There is the door !

There will be enough people to do the work, but they will be offshore and the employees left behind will have a full time job training them and picking up after them

Yeah because they work in India and Mexico. Americans just want a job for salary and are whiners..
