Not even bother with layoffs. Just force your employees over to a vendor in which over half their employees are offshore and force them into menial jobs at lesser benefits until the vendor cuts you loose with no severance.
Allstate comes out smelling like a rose. They don't have to pay severance or unemployment and the eventual cuts are not on their hands but the hands of the vendor who could care less about any of us.
