Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Does anyone know any timing? We are now 3 days into this week and nothing. Sounded like it was going to happen this week.

@szq, go to the homepage of this site and you’ll see it’s much bigger than just this forum page. I woud guess that every major company in every industry has its own section. I somehow doubt Ford decided to host all of them just to be able to track my sorry a-s.
And even if what you’re saying was true, they would have been stuck with unusable data, as I’m currently using VPN.

You do realize this site is larger than just Ford, right?

FMC Employees to HR:

Stick it, we stopped working. Take you focus and shove it.

So Sr mgt complains our quality is ki----g us. So let's take a walk down memory lane. Remember when they brought in Hackett and he proceeded to kick off his 100 day study and divert entire team's work for that. Then his ridiculous time suck and useless Design Thinking that we all had to play. Then not to forget, telling people only new hire children knew anything, labeled current employees Old Ford. Then proceeded to drop later changes to all our new vehicles we were working on THEN that are filled NOW with quality issues. Oh, yes don't forget the ultra secret 18mo. SRD planning process by people that had no idea about the organizations or real work they were redesigning.......yeah we all can go on. So fast forward, here we are today with these same id--ts now looking to cut 25% of the US salary workforce. Yeah, as we wait, people are again te--orized and distracted. Hmmm and we know this will all be reflected in the product we are working on. History repeating. But hey, per Farley, our current people are clueless and Ford needs new talent. Sorry, a blind person could see where the problem is.

FMC employee to HR

I am excited for the opportunity to be paid to do nothing while I wait for the LLx and HR to announce who will be fired. I am delighted to extend the same courtesies that the
LLx and HR have extended to me and my fellow employees. I value your existence just as much as you value mine. I will be given 3 months severance, so I shall cease work output today so I have 3 months additional pay for doing nothing. Fair is fair.

Here’s an idea everyone just stop working until the cuts are final.
After all the whole game relies on people continuing to work hard training replacements offshore.

Yeah the town hall is going to be meh. 90% of the “group and individual questions” will be about the state of the layoffs and will get addressed with a blanket, 30-second statement. They don’t even allow chat anymore after the bonus debacle this year.

The managers doesn’t want to face that embarrassing calls from their ex team members. When everything is green people discuss about pets, yard work, all kinds of useless stuff on company time. When things go south they never answer your million dollar question “Why Me?”

Similar to Tesla % layoffs. Big number is just a scare tactic to get people back into the office & start traveling again.

I wonder if the reason they deleted was because they want to keep the fear alive so when they offer voluntaries people take it asap. If this gets deleted that’ll be all the confirmation we need

Leaving in October for those who have accepted voluntaries makes sense which means there’s probably a two month window prior to initiate. Detailed info and offers would make sense in Aug? The company had all year to map this out and get it right. Now to call it a distraction and tell people to put blinders on and get back to work? This is the only thing they are thinking/talking about…

@vxs I would have expected it done before the town hall so they can give an “all clear” message. That may be overly optimistic for this bunch though as they don’t seem to take employee’s mental state into consideration.

That was me. I have no clue who deleted it. It will be in October. Everyone has lost their damn minds speculating on a daily basis.

I don’t know why everyone has been speculating all over the place. If it happens this week, the town hall would make most sense.
